Mr. Phelps’ practice focuses on a broad range of real estate and other transactional matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, construction, leasing, joint ventures covering multiple types of properties, including office, retail, multi-family, industrial, hospitality, mixed-use and residential. Mr. Phelps has represented and counseled developers, institutional advisors, REITs, investment funds and individual investors, sponsors, corporate users, local and national real estate companies and individuals. In addition, Mr. Phelps has advised both borrower and lender clients on all manner of asset-backed financings and re-financings. Prior to forming Miller Phelps LLP, Mr. Phelps practiced in the Dallas office of Baker Botts LLP and prior to that, in the Houston office Andrews Kurth LLP.
